Held over two highly participatory sessions in late September, the Think-Tank was a key step in the 15-month Springfield 2051 process.
Over 100 committed individuals attended both sessions and contributed their perspectives and thoughts while developing a range of plausible futures for Springfield in 2051. The results from the Think-Tank will be released in the Springfield 2051 Think-Tank Report in the coming weeks.
Friday, September 19 | 8:30am – 12:30pm
The first part of the Springfield 2051 Think-Tank consisted of a presentation of macro trends that could impact Springfield, followed by driver identification and build out, then ranking of the individual drivers.
Friday, September 26 | 8:30am – 12:30pm
The second part of the Springfield 2051 Think-Tank built upon the results of the first part, and included brainstorming about the future of Springfield: scenario narrative development, presentations and plausibility checks, followed by mapping of the Least Desired, Expected, and Preferred Futures.
